Graphic Design isn’t dead. But it is evolving. Designers aren’t being replaced by AI but the role is dramatically changing.

I am traditionally a graphic designer, then moved into art direction, high end retouching and 3D.

AI is a natural evolution for the curious.

The WEF says that Graphic Designers are one of the fastest declining job while UX/UI is the fastest growing. This trend underscores a shift towards roles that emphasize user-centric digital experiences and strategic problem-solving.

The WEF emphasises that while AI can handle routine and technical tasks, it lacks the nuanced understanding of human emotions, cultural contexts, and ethical considerations.

These design roles will be powered and enhanced by AI as we enter a new era of story telling and product design. Shift from "Designer-as-Creator" to "Designer-as-Director"

🟢 A designers judgment is the real asset. AI can make 1,000 versions
in a split second. A designers job is to know which one is right for the project.
That’s not execution. That’s intuition, taste and leadership.

🟢 Tools don’t create magic. Humans do. 26 letters formed stories
that sparked many revolutions. Millions of songs use the same three chords.

🟢 AI is not a replacement for creativity, It’s a new brush, a new camera, a new instrument.

🟢 The real advantage. The story, the soul, the spark. Design is messy, humans are messy. Be messy.
